The activities of the Digital Skills Factory, financed by GIZ, in the period from December 2022 to October 2023 are described here chronologically.

This report describes the activities of the Digital Skill Factory project, financed by GIZ. from December 2022 to October 2023.
This report outlines the impactful initiatives undertaken in the Champion Schools program, focusing on the development of Digital Media Clubs. From collaborative efforts in Activity “Development of Joint program with all stakeholders and training modules to functionalize the Digital Media Clubs” to educator training in “Teacher training module: Running a Digital Media Club”, and empowering student-trainers in “Traditional and Digital Media”, each activity contributes to a comprehensive digital media ecosystem.
“Development of Joint program with all stakeholders and training modules to functionalize the Digital Media Clubs” activity lays the groundwork for Digital Media Clubs in 20 champion schools. Emphasizing collaboration, it encourages club formation, targeting grades 6-9, and highlights the role of a dedicated
club coordinator.
“Teacher training module: Running a Digital Media Club” held at City Hotel Prizren, this activity trains educators and representatives in digital media management. Despite some participant absences, the training features insights from industry experts in filmmaking, animation, digital marketing, and journalism.
A one-day training session at, “Traditional and Digital Media”, ITP - Prizren enhances skills for both students and teachers. With a focus on practical skills in graphic design, social media, filmmaking, digital newsletter creation, and
YouTube usage, the training sets the stage for student empowerment.
“Individual Coaching at Schools” activity empowers media clubs in two phases: thematic exploration and graphic design training. It nurtures thematic exploration and graphic design skills among participants.
“Storytelling Campus on Developing Digital Skills: From Theory to Practice” Storytelling Campus engages 17 schools in nurturing creativity and digital skills. The activities include impactful video clip creation by students and academic discussions for teachers.
“Public Showcase and Exhibitions” This activity celebrates students’ creative achievements across multiple municipalities. Despite challenges, the exhibition successfully showcases artistic prowess, providing insights into logistics and
outcome.

During the period from December 2022 to October 2023, all the planned activities of the project were developed. A total of 918 students and teachers participated in these activities. In total, seven activities were held: DJP (Development of Joint program with all stakeholders and training modules to functionalize the Digital Media Clubs), RDMC (Running a Digital Media Club), TDM (Traditional and
Digital Media), ICS (Individual Training at the Schools), SC (Storytelling Campus on Developing Digital Skills), PSE (Public Showcase and Exhibition).
During DJP we visited all 20 champion schools. The purpose was to create media clubs at every school or reactivate the existing clubs.
During RDMC activity we organized a workshop with all of the school representatives (quality coordinators, school directors, and media club coordinators). 30 representatives participated in this activity.
During TDM activity a total of 95 participants took part in this activity. The students were divided into three groups.
Thirty-one (31) students and teachers were trained in the field of Graphic Design & Social Media.
Twenty-two (22) students and teachers were trained in the field of visual creation, where they learned about the process of creative writing and understanding target audiences.
Twenty-nine (29) students and teachers were trained in creating a digital newsletter and were given an introduction to using YouTube.
The ICS activity is divided into two sessions, where a total of 607 participants took part. Initially, the knowledge acquired during the TDM activity was disseminated to all club members by the students. A
suggested theme was then proposed, focusing on specific areas such as human rights, civil activism, advanced education, career orientations and opportunities, artificial intelligence, etc. In the Second
phase of this activity visited with two trainers in the field of graphic design for a newsletter.
During SC a total of 186 participants took part in this activity. The purpose was to teach the students how to create a story and how to put it into practice.
During PSE the work of the participating schools in the activity developed in July “SC” was screened in every school.
