Activities

First Activity:

In the first activity Development of a joint program with all stakeholders and training modules to functionalize the Digital Media Clubs and other existing clubs in school, we visited all 20 champion schools. 

Second Activity:

Teacher training module RUNNING A DIGITAL MEDIA CLUB, we called all the representatives of the media club or a school representative to be part of the training. There were four facilitators in 4 different fields. The process of filmmaking, editing, and the importance of the team of the film department, Motion Design – the process of creating educative animations, including the role of this process without excluding the role of the enterprise, knowledge of the digital marketing industry, in a way for them to understand and notice the potential talent in this field, the role of journalism in society and how to find out if a student has talent in the field of journalism. In this activity, 20 school representatives participated.

Third Activity:

TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA The one-day training took place at ITP - Prizren on April 15th, where three students and one teacher participated from each school. The purpose of the training was to develop the skills of the participants and train the students as trainers, enabling them to transfer their knowledge to their respective schools' media clubs. The training was divided into three groups/modules, with each school having the opportunity to benefit from these three modules. There were 82 students and teachers, 49 women and 33 men. 

The first module focused on Graphic Design & Social Media, highlighting the importance of graphic design in social networks, current platforms, online jobs, and freelancing. This module was facilitated by Artan Xhaha, a graphic designer at Makerspace. The second module covered visual creations, explaining the process of creative writing and understanding target audiences. It also included an overview of film creation departments and the first film. This module was facilitated by Zgim Terziqi, a director. 

The third module aimed to create a digital newsletter and provided the basics of using YouTube. It also emphasized efficient communication with the target audience. This module was facilitated by Valon Canhasi, the founder & CEO of Hallakate. In this activity there were 85 participants.

Fouth Activity:

INDIVIDUAL COACHING AT THE SCHOOLS: This activity is a continuation of the TRADITIONAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA training, where students were given the opportunity to share their knowledge with other club students. During school meetings, several topics were selected for research, including advanced education, quality of education, violence, diversity and inclusion, human rights, gender equality, and career orientation.

Fifth activity:

Storytelling Campus on Developing Digital Skills: From Theory to Practice This activity was held at ITP at the beginning of July. The purpose was to learn to tell a story while learning digital filming, photography, and editing skills. 17 schools were part of the activity with more than 200 students, and it lasted 4 days. Two film directors, Trëndelina Halili and Aurela Berila taught the students how to create a story on a specific topic and how to put it into practice through filming. This activity also foresees working with teachers on how to create an entertaining lesson through skill building and with a focus student on telling a story: How to avoid hate speech, misinformation, and disinformation

The final Event:

Public Showcase and Exhibitions at each school: In this event, we visited every school that was part of this project and held an Exhibition with the work that the students did during the storytelling campus. From every school, at least 60 students took part in the exhibition. The exhibition was open to the public.
