STORIES WE TELL

DokuFest’s newest project, “STORIES WE TELL,” funded by “SMART Balkans,” aims to utilize audio-visual media to encourage dialogue and understanding among young people from diverse communities in Kosovo. Young individuals aged 18-25, during three different camps, will engage in workshops and discussions focusing on promoting mutual respect and understanding. They will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences, aiming to positively influence each other and challenge negative perspectives shaped by media and societal views.

CONNECTING DOTS: EXPLORING SHARED FILM HERITAGE

Following several informal program collaborations DokuFest and Beldocs through this project embark on a strategic partnership as two leading documentary film festivals in the Western Balkans.

KOSOVO INNOVATION SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION PROJECT +

Project aims to promote reconciliation between communities via civic engagement; support resilient local communities that prevent radicalization/ violent extremism and promoting early warning / early action on a local level; advance in promotion of digital literacy for educational purposes to help curb hate-speech and create an inclusive environment between local communities through meaningful exchange on the topics of inequality, human rights, and democratic values, thus increase critical and active participation in civic life and boost resilience through exchange of opinions, media and information literacy and most importantly discovering common goals and reflecting their thoughts.

DIGITAL SKILL FACTORY

The projects overall objective is to build digital and technological skills of young people within educational institutions to be able to improve their career orientation and employability in the future. Through active participation the project will also create a safe environment for young adolescents in critical and analytical thinking, stir creativity and empower them to efficiently communicate in the diverse media landscape.

KOSOVO INNOVATION SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION PROJECT

The KIST project aims to promote digital education by providing instructions and digital materials for schools, in addition to cultural and artistic activities, with the aim of increasing the active participation of students in civic life, addressing misinformation, and developing critical thinking, in facing the challenges of the 21st century.

SUPPORT TO TEACHERS TO ACHIEVE A WIDE RANGE OF EFFECTIVE LEARNING, HUMAN RIGHTS FILM PRODUCTION PROJECT, KNOWLEDGE SHARING IN EDUCATION AND REGIONAL NETWORK OF PRACTITIONERS THAT USE CULTURE IN EDUCATION.

DIGITAL MEDIA CLUBS

‘Digital Media Clubs’ project started on September 1, 2019 and lasted until January 30, 2021. The project supported 20 champion schools selected by GIZ organization in 7 municipalities of Kosovo and in 3 public schools in Prizren co-financed by the Municipality of Prizren.

HOW DO I SEE YOU?

“HOW DO I SEE YOU” is a collaborative project between DokuFest and Slobodna Zona festivals, aiming to establish a connection between the youth of Kosovo and Serbia through an educational and comprehensive program.

EDUCATING 4 EQUALITY

The project targets national and local institutions working in education, formal and informal educational agents in the field of civic education, sociology, human rights, civil society and social science.

FILM AND FACTUAL MEDIA

The project aims to foster creation of independent forums for discussion and exchange of ideas, hence provoke awareness and stimulate a stronger public debate about the importance of education in general and social and educational inclusion of all communities through visual art, documentary film and animations for youth.
