Call for Applications: DokuFest’s Digital Film Innovation Project – D:FICT

DokuFest is excited to launch the D:Fict Project, a unique opportunity for students aged 12-18 to learn digital skills and filmmaking! We invite schools across Kosovo to encourage students to join this free program that will help them become creative storytellers and digital creators.

The D: Fict Project is a one-year program that provides practical training in digital storytelling, filmmaking, and cybersecurity. Students will learn from professionals, work on real projects, and even explore new technologies like Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) for storytelling. This project implemented in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is set to empower the next generation of digital storytellers and filmmakers.  The Innovation and Training Park (ITP) Prizren is a hub for collaboration between local and international companies, vocational training programs, academic institutions, government agencies, NGOs, as well as a space for cultural and artistic activities. 

Why Join? 

Build Digital Skills: From creating videos to learning about cybersecurity, students will gain valuable skills that are key for future careers. 

Explore AR/VR Technology: Students will experience how to tell stories with cutting-edge technology like AR and VR, preparing them for a digital future. 

Raise Cybersecurity Awareness: Through the program, students will learn safe digital practices and how to protect their online content. 

Program Highlights 

Hands-On Training: Students start with basics and move to advanced training in digital storytelling and filmmaking. 

AR/VR Storytelling: Using AR and VR, students will explore innovative ways to tell their stories. 

Cybersecurity Awareness: Cybersecurity skills will be integrated into the training to help students protect their digital work. 

Showcase & Community Engagement: Students’ projects will be shared with the community, building their confidence and impact. 

Who Can Apply? 

Schools (Middle schools and high schools): Support your students’ participation and help them discover their potential in digital and creative fields. 
Students aged 12-18: Ideal for students who want to learn about film, digital media, and safe online practices. 

Applications are open until 30th of November! Teachers, school leaders and students are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.
