SCHOOLS AND DOCUMENTARIES: CALL FOR TEACHERS

DokuFest has signed a cooperation agreement aimed at operationalizing the long-term collaboration between DokuFest and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation. This agreement facilitates the creation of a platform that encourages and supports schools and teachers in using audiovisual tools for planning and developing the educational process - specifically teaching in high secondary schools. This initiative is in line with the requirements and objectives of the Pre-university Education Curricular Framework of Kosovo.

To this end, DokuFest invites high school teachers to apply for participation in one-day workshops. These workshops, focusing on the use of audiovisual tools in teaching, are part of their teaching curriculum and will be conducted during February 2024.

The workshops are designed to enhance teachers’ skills in planning and implementing educational methodologies with students through audiovisual educational packages. These packages include short documentary films, primarily focusing on social and human rights issues.

The training comprises practical workshops led by experts and teachers with extensive experience in applying audiovisual tools in the classroom. These workshops are aligned with the Curricular Framework of Pre-University Education of Kosovo. The aim is to prepare Kosovo’s students and youth to meet the challenges of the 21st century and to actively generate new, competitive knowledge for the global labor market.

Who can apply?

High school teachers who teach social and science subjects (grades X-XII) are eligible. Teachers who employ teaching methods that develop self-confidence, initiative, problem-solving skills, and student creativity are particularly encouraged to apply.

Workshop Duration and Location:

These one-day workshops will be held in Prizren. The first sessions of this cycle are scheduled for February 3 and 10, 2024.

Application Deadline:

Interested candidates must complete the application form by January 26, 2024.
