Editing Camp ‘Future is Here’ – 13th Generation

From February 14 to 17, 2025, the editing camp for the 13th generation of the Film School Future is Here took place in Zym, a village in Prizren.

Designed to support students in the final stretch of their filmmaking process, the camp focused on essential post-production tasks, including editing, cutting, sound editing, color grading, and transcription. These sessions ensured the films were fully prepared for their world premiere at the 24th edition of DokuFest.

Students worked closely with tutors Leart Rama and Eroll Bilibani, while editing sessions were led by Flutura Balaj, Hana Ahmeti, and Leart Rama. Their supervision and mentorship enabled the students to refine their films in preparation for the festival screenings.

This year’s camp produced seven films, each exploring significant social themes. By offering technical resources and fostering a collaborative learning environment, the Editing Camp helped students enhance their creative skills and produce compelling films that will leave a lasting impact at DokuFest and beyond.

"Educational films serve as key tools to inspire change and promote intercultural dialogue in schools. They offer a unique opportunity for students to develop critical thinking skills, increase awareness about social and cultural issues, and encourage a more open and inclusive approach to learning. Through their powerful themes and impactful narratives, these educational films are rich resources that support innovative teaching and contribute to building a more informed, conscious, and democratic society."
