OPEN CALL: Future is Here XIII
Each year, our film school, ‘’Future is Here’’, brings students from across Kosovo to Prizren for a unique opportunity to develop their skills and passion for documentary filmmaking.
Held in Prizren from 2nd to 8th of January 2025, during the winter school break, ‘’Future is Here’’ transforms into a week long journey where students learn the essential skills of filmmaking: capturing scenes, editing, and piecing together stories that resonate with your personal lives (reflect their lives, dreams, and challenges).
Being part of this camp you’ll be mentored by film industry professionals, explore the ins and outs of film equipment, and work alongside peers who share your passion for self-expression. Each day will bring something new, from hands-on equipment training to discussions on storytelling techniques. Best of all, the films created during the camp will premiere at DokuFest 2025, showcasing the unique perspectives of Kosovo’s youth.
Through this winter school, we strive to bring the stories of Kosovo’s youth to life, turning their experiences into meaningful films. At the same time, building a stronger foundation for our country’s film industry, especially in areas like editing, sound design, and post-production, where opportunities are often limited.
Requirements:
- You’re a high school student in Kosovo
- You have a genuine passion for storytelling and a desire to learn about documentary filmmaking
- Good communication skills in English.
