STUDENTS UNFOLDS THEIR STORIES

Students unfold their stories DokuFest over the months has worked with high school students in Prizren, Gjakova, Lipjan and Pristina, to research their needs and concerns as a youth and as the future of the country. Students from these schools have answered DokuLab questions where among the most expressed as concerns and needs have been the bullying that occurs in schools and the need for space for young people in the municipalities where they come from. Thus, DokuFest within the Education 4 Equality project has held training for the most interested students to be part of the creation of their video stories related to their needs and concerns. Through a process of recording and editing, where there were trainings mainly online, but also physical according to the conditions, 3 video stories were made that talk about youth problems. One video has the story of bullying, the other the need for youth space, and the third the various professions that are not considered lucrative, and the students who enjoy it receive neither support from the district nor family members for the work they do. All videos were made by the students themselves, from recording to editing, under the mentorship of DokuFest.

"Educational films serve as key tools to inspire change and promote intercultural dialogue in schools. They offer a unique opportunity for students to develop critical thinking skills, increase awareness about social and cultural issues, and encourage a more open and inclusive approach to learning. Through their powerful themes and impactful narratives, these educational films are rich resources that support innovative teaching and contribute to building a more informed, conscious, and democratic society."
