KLASA VIRTUALE

VIRTUAL CLASS

Our ‘Digital Media Clubs’ project has created an enjoyable virtual platform for participating students and has managed to produce a number of digital lessons to be used as an open-source for all schools that are interested in using these materials.

DokuFest’s educational department DokuLab has intensified the activities despite the pandemic and the lockdown of the educational sector in Kosovo. Our ‘Digital Media Clubs’ project has created an enjoyable virtual platform for participating students and has managed to produce a number of digital lessons to be used as an open-source for all schools that are interested in using these materials.

All of the content that was created and published as an open-source knowledge platform was produced in collaboration with the teachers who are acting as coordinators of the Digital Media Clubs in their respective schools.

The approach has allowed other teachers to join the initiative and share the materials that they have used in the classroom, offered now in form of short videos that were developed as virtual lessons and posted on our Virtual Classroom. This platform is in accordance with the National Curricular Framework of Kosovo and is cross-referenced with the syllabus that teachers use on a daily basis.

Our team has intensively worked with students from these schools to develop learning materials through EduTainment approach by building their skills in video editing and learning through creating. The DokuLab team is in particular thankful to students who are members of the Digital Media Clubs of schools ‘Asim Vokshi’ in Prishtina, ‘Thimi Mitko’ in Gjilan and ‘Avdullah Shabani’ in Caralevë. Their enthusiasm and proactiveness have inspired our team to create training modules that will be applied in all 23 Digital Media Clubs of Champion Schools in seven municipalities of Kosovo.

We hope that the virtual classroom will be embraced by School Managers, individual teachers, Municipal Directorates of Education and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology as an open-source platform to aid the educators in these difficult times.

The project has been generously supported and financed by German Development Cooperation (GIZ) as their invaluable contribution to strengthening the Education system in Kosovo. The Directorate of Education of Prizren Municipality has joined this initiative to include three additional schools from villages in Prizren municipality.
